  1. MORSE.SFT is a proportionally spaced Morse code soft font.
  2.  
  3. The batch file TESTFONT.BAT will print out a sample showing the characters 
  4. defined for each ASCII value. The font can be selected using the PCL codes:  
  5.                    <esc>(8U<esc>(s24v0T
  6. where "<esc>" represents the Escape character, ASCII 27.
  7.  
  8. MORSE.SFT was created by using FONTEDIT, which is a font editor for HP LaserJet
  9. soft fonts. With FONTEDIT, you can change the bit map for any character in any
  10. LaserJet bit-mapped font. For instance, you could include lower case letters
  11. in the font simply by copying its upper case equivalent.

  13. Naturally, FONTEDIT has many more features, such as:
  14.  
  15.     -  Smoothly change the point size of your bit-mapped fonts, just like you
  16.        can do with scalable Postscript or TrueType outline fonts.
  17.  
  18.     -  Special effects: mirror image, drop shadow, make hollow, rotate, make
  19.        thinner, upside down, slant, tilt, resize   ...   and more!
  20.  
  21.     -  Sculpt individual pixels of a character, or regions of pixels such as
  22.        rectangular, circle, ellipse, parallelogram, or arbitrary polygon
  23.        regions.

  25.     -  Import characters from other soft fonts, or from black & white .PCX or
  26.        .TIF. For instance, you could scan a company logo and make a character
  27.        in a soft font out of it. Or make a font out of your handwriting! (I've
  28.        made a font just this way from my handwriting)

  31. FONTEDIT requires VGA/EGA/CGA/Herc, or AT&T video, and at least 256K RAM. A
  32. mouse is optional.

  35. shareware demo version is available by writing to me, or by downloading file
  36. #28968 from the IBM PC files on GENIE, or downloading file "FED.ZIP" from
  37. the LaserJet files area on CompuServe (!go hpper). A version for the
